Women's History and

Resource Center

The Women’s History and Resource Center of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs officially opened at GFWC Headquarters in Washington, D.C., on May 1, 1984, building on a long tradition of preserving historical records and providing quality reference service to members.

Our club has made recent improvements to the archives of the club.  We now rent a storage space for our documents and materials.

Several members have purchased the martini glasses to support the 1924 Society.

Two members of our club volunteered to help paint the martini glasses in 2008.

Yearly donations are made the the Clough House.

Our club made a tri-fold display of the club's history for the New England Regional Conference in 2009.

At our June Social members chose their favorite woman in history to present to the group.

Three members acted as docents at the Clough House in Boston, telling visitors to the city about the history of Clough House and the way in which GFWC of Massachusetts has helped to restore and maintain the building.
